NAME

faketime - execute program with changed notion of system time

SYNOPSIS

faketime [options] <program>...

DESCRIPTION

Execute program with changed notion of system time.

Valid options are:

-d STRING:

use time described by STRING

-r FILE:

use the last modification time of FILE

-t STAMP:

use timestamp in [[CC]YY]MMDDhhmm[.ss] format

-i:

do not freeze the time, increment it in usual way

-V, --version:

print program version and exit

-h, --help:

print this help text and exit

Time specifications for the -d and -t options have the same format as in date(1) and touch(1) utilities.
