TOFUUP(1) TOFUUP(1)

NAME

tofuup - upgrade the todo layout to the current tofu version.

SYNOPSYS

tofuup [options]

DESCRIPTION

This command converts an older tofu todo layout to the more recent one reclaimed by the current installed tofu release. It first generates a new todo, then backups the previous and finally replaces it.

OPTIONS

tofuup handles the following options:

-f, --force
make the upgrade even if the backup directory already exists (replace it in that case).
-h, --help
print the usage informations on stdout, then exit.
-t, --test
generate a dummy todo layout in the tofu version 1.x fashion, then make the upgrade. Primarily useful for debugs and development.

ENVIRONMENT

The initial behaviour of tofuup can be altered using the following environment variables:

BACKUPDIR
indicate the directory to use to backup the current todo. The default is <TOFUDIR>-backup.
TMPDIR
indicate the directory to use as temporary working directory. The default is ~/.tofuup-tmp.
TOFUDIR
indicate the directory where the current todo is stored. The default is ~/.tofu.
