SYNOPSIS

drbd-graceful-down.service

DESCRIPTION

This service takes down all DRBD resources at system shutdown, ensuring that the DRBD devices are marked as clean in the on-disk metadata, ensuring that a resync after reboot will not cover the disk blocks covered by hot entries in the activity log.

On stop (system shutdown), it runs drbdsetup down all to take down all DRBD resources. This is ordered after drbd-graceful-disconnect.service so that connections are gracefully disconnected first.

This unit uses DefaultDependencies=no and is ordered before shutdown.target via a Conflicts dependency.

Resources that are explicitly managed by other systemd services should be stopped there. So this is also ordered before resource-agents-deps.target and drbd.service and the per-resource drbd@.service templates, which makes it be stopped only after those are stopped.

If you for some reason want to opt-out of this service, you can still systemctl mask it.
