NAME
gpupdate - Update Group Policy settings
SYNOPSYS
gpupdate [ -h ] [ --user username ]
DESCRIPTION
gpupdate Fetches GPT files for designated user from AD instance and transforms them into UNIX system settings.
gpupdate operates on control framework, system-wide GSettings, XDG .desktop files, Chromium web browser policy file, Firefox web browser policy file, systemd services, PolicyKit framework trying to mimic behavior of other operating systems connected to AD domain.
The utility needs no adjustments from local user.
Options
- -h
- Show help.
- --user username
- Run gpupdate for username.
- --force
- Force GPT download.
EXIT CODES
- 0
- Application exited successfully.
- 1
- No runner is able to start gpoa.
- 2
- No reply from D-Bus when starting gpoa for computer using oddjobd via D-Bus.
- 3
- No reply from D-Bus when starting gpoa for user using oddjobd via D-Bus.
