NAME

jobforce — consume GNU Make jobserver job slots or create/release job slots

SYNOPSIS

jobforce number

DESCRIPTION

Acquire (positive number) or release (negative number) jobs from the job server without actually doing anything.

Blocks until the number of jobs has been received. Will block indefinitely if N is larger than the total number of jobs.

ENVIRONMENT

To communicate with jobserver the MAKEFLAGS environment variable must be set.
